As part of the international knitting contest Feel the Yarn 2025, I designed and created a knitted outfit. Starting from a concept and initial sketches, I developed a design that transforms rigid forms into soft, flowing shapes, perceived visually as a kind of blur.

My concept, "From Weight to Lightness", explores the desire for lightness and mindfulness in an increasingly fast-paced and technologized world. The outfit visually translates this idea with hard, rigid elements that represent restriction and control, contrasting with the flowing color transitions that symbolize a return to nature and inner balance. 
This contrast can be seen not only in the form language, but also in the choice of yarn. Thanks to the sponsored alpaca yarn from Filitaly-Lab, this contrast is particularly evident in the finely knitted top, which contrasts with the dense knit of the dress.

The finished piece was exhibited at the yarn fair Pitti Filati in Florence in July 2025.
